So I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done a post, but I’ve been busy lately. I’ve been job/career searching, spending time with family, playing Skyrim, and reading Game of Thrones!
On March 31st, Game of Thrones season 3 premiered! I just watched it last night, and it was amazing! Even though it’s been over a year since I’ve read the third novel, the story line comes flooding back with each scene. My favorite scenes were with the Mother of Dragons, and Rob Stark and his mother. I like seeing the multiple environments of each character because it adds so much flavor and balance to the visual experience. Check out this lovely photo collage I found on Tumblr, from Sun and Starks:
If you haven’t seen or read Game of Thrones, I highly recommend it! I fell in love with the fist 3 books, and they really got me hooked to the HBO series!
Last week, I was browsing the internet and stumbled upon a random YouTube video of “How to Play Skyrim on Mac OS.” I played Skyrim for the first time 2 years ago, on my brother’s PC. It was so much fun, and I was excited that someone had ported it over to Mac’s OS. The game reminds me a lot of Game of Thrones. My character is “Dragonborn,” and I slay dragons and absorb their souls, adding their powers to my mine. I’m going on adventures, exploring dungeons, and meeting new people. It almost sounds like real life! I’m so immersed into the game and I enjoy playing it because it helps me forget about the problems and stresses in my life.
In my opinion, Skyrim is one of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played. To top it off, I love fantasy and the lore that goes with it, so it’s right up my alley.
